A Lifetime of Scientific Inquiry
For more than two decades, my research has explored a fundamental question concerning human hierarchies:
What underlying cognitive and epistemological mechanism gives rise to supervisory belief–behavior systems, and how does that mechanism influence humanity's capacity to learn, solve problems, and adapt?
This investigation has culminated in the development of the Belief–Behavior Systems Archetype, an interdisciplinary proposed explanatory framework that examines how unconscious epistemological beliefs concerning the certainty of one's own knowledge influence supervisory cognition across diverse human hierarchies.
The research integrates concepts from organizational learning, psychology, education, healthcare, leadership, epistemology, and systems thinking to propose a common explanatory mechanism linking supervisory cognition with learning, truth, problem solving, justice, democratic human hierarchies, and long-term human flourishing.

Scientific Philosophy
The research program is guided by several principles:
Scientific progress depends upon continual questioning of one's own assumptions.
Learning requires recognizing previously unrecognized limitations in one's own understanding.
Human hierarchies exist to solve problems that individuals cannot solve alone.
Supervisory cognition influences whether those hierarchies preserve or impede humanity's capacity for continued learning.

Together, these principles define an interdisciplinary research program investigating the cognitive and epistemological foundations of supervisory cognition.
